Today I signed for my practical of one month. Next week I will submit it to The Employment Agency and probably start my practical at Sis Hajar´s restaurant on Tuesday.
Insya-Allah.
Before leaving for the restaurant, sis Hajar said that there are two Malaysians on their way from Malmö to Göteborg and they want to come to the restaurant as well. Since their timing and my timing were almost near to each other, I agreed to be their guide to the restaurant.
The train from Malmö was arriving at 12.17pm and I was at the Central Station already by 12.10pm. Luckily I was not late.
As usual, it is not so hard to notice other Asians when you are abroad. And I recognized these two fellow Malaysians by their accents. It is indistinguishable. I like it.
We started by walking outside of Central Station to Nordstan, and then to Brunnsparken. Bought 2 tickets of 24 hours tickets for them, costing 65 kr each. Not bad, I think. To travel anywhere within the city of Göteborg for only 30 ringgit, with busses, trams and boats (best done in the summer).
We took the tram 1 to Frölunda Torg and waited for bus to go to Datavägen. Bus 84 came and off we hopped on to the bus.
Sis Hajar was already worried about us and called twice during the journey to make sure that everything is alright. When we arrived, there were not so many people. Which was good because it is easier for us to speak and sis Hajar also doesn´t need to do so much work by attending to customers, etc.
Lunch was good! I love eating at Glada Paprikan Restaurang. It is a nice place for us to be.
I have been to the restaurant because of many events. Birthday party, Aidil fitri open house, aqiqah and lunch dates. Soon it is going to be my practical place too. I like it, like it.
Not to forget, thanks sis Hajar for buying me lunch today :-) It is my rezeki.
I enjoyed talking to Encik Nasa and Isma from Malaysian Scouts. They are very easy to talk to and interested in listening to my speech about Göteborg. Even though they know that I have only lived here less than 18 months.
We get the chance to meet my hubby while in the city. Mr. Hubby was on his way to his class reunion and spared 40 minutes walking around Jarntorget and Haga with us, explaining in details about those parts of Göteborg, especially the old wall of the city, Fish Church (fiskekyrkan), the maid that was waiting for her sailor or fisherman husband, and the kronasslott on top of the hill.
The weather too, I think, was a plus factor in making our walking tour really fun. I enjoyed it a lot! I feel that Encik Nasa and Isma enjoyed it too.
By 7.40pm we have already bought their return tickets back to Malmö with the train.
:-) Looking forward until the next time we will meet ya.
