In this entry I will be referring to the first translation, which you use when you are referring to something nice. 

 

Today I went to a café in Järntorget with Arshad and met up with Olli and Christophe. The café's name is King's Head and we only paid SEK 32 för en kopp kaffe and then you can eat all you can from a small buffe.

Here is the description of the cafe which I found from Göteborg's Wikitravel, not too nice I know, but to me the place is really not as bad as it is described in Wikitravel.

Kings Head, Andra Långgatan. On this street well known for its cheap pubs and porn stores, this pub is an alternative for those who wants to spend time in a little more sophisticated environment. The clientele is more well adjusted in this place.

After a very nice dinner and chat,  Olli and Christophe left, but we stayed at the café because Arshad was waiting for his friend to arrive. 

 

I went away for a while and when I came back to the table, I saw two Swedish have joined us at our table; a guy and a girl. Arshad said that I should practice my Swedish with them and allowed me to speak only Swedish. 

 

When the girl introduced herself to me, I thought that her name was nice so I responded by saying, "Du heter är snäll". Which snäll is only used when you are referring to a character of a person who is kind. And everyone thought this was funny and had a good laugh at it. 

 

Only when Arshad corrected me to use fint, then I know not to refer to a person's name as "kind" after this.
